Darnell Cottage "Quaran-Tour": Powder Bath Remodel

We are headed back inside to finish the rest of the house! Next up the powder bath.

Though a small space, powder bath’s get a lot of traffic! We always encourage clients to have a little fun and take a few risks in this space!

I’m excited to walk you through how we made the most of ours!

BEFORE |

This was the powder bath when we first bought the house. The space was not maximized well and only had a toilet and a pedestal sink.

AFTER |

The biggest change that we made was adding a wall in the middle of the room, creating a separate toilet room. The goals was to provide some privacy to our guests since powder bath is right off the main living area.

We put in a pocket door and gave it a pop of color! We painted it one of my favorite colors of all time - Boothbay Gray by Benjamin Moore!

We kept the slate floors for the time being due to budget, but installed a whole new vanity, sink, faucet and mirror.

There is a lot you can do with a little space to transform it!

Vanity - I got this antique workman’s bench from the Country Living Fair!

Sink - We added a vessel sink in top of the workman’s bench to create a one of a kind vanity!

Faucet - I love a wall mount faucet, especially in a powder bath. The powder bath is a fun place to mix it up and take a risk!

Sconces - Can’t forget about the sconces! We love s Love these ones from Schoolhouse Electric.
