Small, affordable ways to update & bring charm to your home!

If you aren’t a DIY’er or if you don’t have large scale renovation budgets to update your current spaces and home- don’t fret! There are still some special ways that you can bring in charm and a fresh look.

We compiled some quick favorites, to show you that small things can make a massive impact.

Starting out with hardware pieces - this is a great way to bring your house to the current era or say goodbye to the builder grade!

  1. Toilet Paper Holder // These are a great way to bring in some fun and texture. We love this one from pottery barn in brass - so pretty!

  2. Cabinet Hardware // This is a simple way to update an entire space. If your kitchen needs something fresh - try hardware! We love this simple and beautiful knob from rejuvenation.

  3. Label Wall hook // This is a subtle way to add in charm, on a plain entry wall, in the laundry room and in bathrooms. We love finding ones with a fun element, and love these with the label look.

  4. Door Hardware // This helps bring the entire house up to date and feel cohesive. These little differences immediately take a house up a notch. You can even paint interior doors a simple gray, or blue/gray to add in some character and contrast to pair with new hardware!

Next, is art! There are so many great resources for online art prints these days. This is a great way to add some color, texture, and style. Fill up your walls with special pieces that display your style and feel and bring in the charm.

5. Hand-drawn Art Print // This is a beautiful hand drawn feel, which is a great neutral piece if you aren’t big on having too loud of a print. Art elevates a space and truly ties it all together.

Lighting is a huge update. It can feel overwhelming to update every single fixture in a house on a budget, but start with the main spaces you use and work up from there. A great way to add in hints of charm and warmth are plug in sconces! Affordable ways to bring in a custom feel.

6. Woven plug in light // This is such a beautiful plug in that brings in so much texture! These are great for beside the bed in a master bedroom or even over art, or banquette area!

Not everyone has the budget to add in custom built cabinetry and pieces. A great way to add charm is creating intentional space with free-standing furniture pieces! They can take a blank wall or space and give it a completely custom and unique feel.

7. Woven Bench // This is is a great way to create a banquette area in a dining space! This adds so much warmth and coziness. Also a great option for an entry way/mudroom bench feel.

8. Armoire Piece // This is a gorgeous wood and cane piece that can be used for a pantry cabinet or a wardrobe in a master bedroom! This brings in a collected feel with the wood texture and makes it unique.
